Hooray for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee!

Everyone in Britain is preparing for Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations where she will be commemorating 60 years on the throne. Well-done Elizabeth!

The Queen came to the throne on 6th February 1952 (her Coronation took place on 2nd June 1953). The only other time a monarchy reached their 60-year reign, was in 1897 by Queen Victoria.

Buckingham Palace is responsible for organizing the events which are set to take place this weekend from 2nd-5th June. London's streets are already adorned with Union Jack flags and the shops filled with memorabilia. Even the work of famous graffiti artist Banksy, has created artwork for the event!

What will you be doing to celebrate this once in a life time occasion?
