Behind the Shoot!

Behind the scenes on a shoot for our new collection of handmade Sistaco jewellery and Fiebiger shoes.

Our new Sistaco statement pieces are set to WOW our audience. Each piece is handmade in Africa, meaning that our customers get one-of-a-kind pieces while helping African communities! The brand was started in May 2011 and is run by women, for women, with the philosophy to inspire women to be strong, independent and confident.

Sistaco's charity that they are supporting is Awaken Mozambique, a "not for profit" organization that creates a pathway for the women of Africa to have a means of supporting their family.

The height of the ski season is fast approaching and somewhere we would love to be at this time of year is the Snowy Mountains. Here is a wonderful Georgina Stojiljkovic editorial shoot for Vogue, Spain by Hunter and Gatti.

Jamie Nelson, Fashion and Beauty Photographer!

SHOOT WITH MODELS KATJA KULYZHKA AT WOMEN DIRECT AND DIANA RUDENOK AT MUSE

SHOOT WITH MODELS TEHILA RICH AND ANINA KISEL FOR ELLE MEXICO JUNE 2011

TANNING SALON SHOOT WITH MODEL EDYTHE HUGHES AT TRUMP

These AMAZING fashion and beauty shoots are by the New York based photographer, Jamie Nelson. Jamie Nelson has produced work for numerous international publications, billboards and Ad campaigns. (Including Harper's Bazaar, Nylon, Vogue, Tatler, Marie Claire to name but a few!) Her quirky shoots are powerful and bold, with spectacular lighting and props; Jamie Nelson has been an icon of ours for a long time!!

At only 26, Jamie creates imagery that will make you feel as though you are visiting Willy Wonka's World of Beauty. As a fashion and beauty photographer she produces work that is both arty and wild but still has a touch of sophistication. "Yeah, this is fashion but I could hang that on my wall"!

Jamie Nelson has always worked for herself, constantly persisting and keeping her passion alive. To find her models, she personally scouts models through agencies, selecting them to fit the particular theme and idea of a shoot. "I usually go for models with big lips. I definitely have a bit of a lip fetish".

Schooling played a large part in the creative aspect of her photography. Jamie spent four years studying, combined with hours of extensive experimentation, and some past life experiences. Her ideas are collaborated with her team, consisting of hair stylists, makeup artists and fine artists; Jamie gets most of aesthetic help through brainstorming together. Her fine-art background has led to her being interested in art and how it affects the fashion imagery rather then the fashion industry itself. “I still see fashion/beauty photography as art and do not tend to focus on branding or advertising of the products themselves”.

Check out Jamie’s Blog for more inspiring imagery!
